Our Journey

A History Built on Educational Commitment

This timeline is not about milestones in a business sense. It is about the slow, patient work of showing up for students year after year โ€” and what that consistent effort builds over time.

1999
The Beginning
Karukala Computers was established in Bakhrahat with a simple belief: every student in South 24 Parganas deserves access to quality education in computers and skill development โ€” regardless of background.
2002โ€“08
Growing Roots
Hundreds of students completed their first computer course here. For many, it was their only access to digital education at a time when computers were still new in rural households.
2009โ€“14
Broadening the Vision
Spoken English and career guidance were added โ€” because students kept asking for help beyond computers. We listened. Programs began extending into communication, confidence and life skills.
2015โ€“19
Community Recognition
After over 15 years of consistent work, the institution became a recognized name among local families. Word of mouth from parents to parents, from students to younger siblings โ€” organic, earned trust.
2020โ€“22
Adapting & Expanding
Through challenging years, MTCSM adapted โ€” offering guidance in new ways, supporting students through uncertainty, and developing new programs for career discovery and digital readiness.
2023โ€“24
The Ecosystem Takes Shape
ISO 9001:2015 certification. MSME registration. NSDC partnership. Brand trademarked. The informal trust of two decades was formalized โ€” not to seem bigger, but to serve students better.
Today
Still Showing Up
After 25+ years, the commitment remains unchanged. Students still walk in seeking direction. Parents still trust us with their children. And we still take that responsibility as seriously as day one.
What Success Really Means

Success Beyond Certificates

A certificate is an outcome. Growth is the journey. We measure success in quieter, more meaningful ways โ€” the student who finally spoke up in class, the parent who understood their child better, the young person who found direction.

๐Ÿ’ช

Academic Confidence

Many students arrive feeling behind or incapable. When they leave, they believe in their own ability to learn โ€” and that belief carries them far beyond any single course or subject.

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ

Communication Growth

From students who couldn't speak a sentence of English in public, to young people who present confidently in interviews and offices. Communication changes how a person moves through life.

๐ŸŽฏ

Career Direction

Many students โ€” and their parents โ€” arrive confused about streams, careers and what to do next. Finding clarity is itself a form of success that no exam score can measure.

๐Ÿ’ผ

Employment Readiness

Practical computer skills, professional communication and interview preparation have helped hundreds of young people take their first steps into stable, meaningful employment.

๐Ÿงฎ

Brain Development

Children who joined our Abacus and brain development programs showed visible improvements in concentration, memory and academic performance โ€” tracked by teachers and parents alike.

๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘ง

Parent Empowerment

When a parent understands their child's learning style and knows how to support them at home, everything changes. Our parent programs have quietly transformed hundreds of family relationships.

Former Students, Building Their Lives

Over 25 years, students who have passed through Karukala Computers and MTCSM programs are now scattered across many fields and careers. We don't track everyone โ€” and we don't need to. The community itself tells us.

Success looks different for different people. For one student, success is a stable government job that supports their family. For another, it is the confidence to run their own small business. For another, it is simply speaking fluent English in a job interview that changed their life.

We never claim credit for people's success. Students earn their own futures. We simply tried to give them better tools, clearer direction, and a little more confidence to get there.

"The most rewarding moments are when a former student comes back to tell us about their life โ€” not because they owe us anything, but because they feel a connection to the place where something shifted for them."

Shared Legacy

The Karukala Connection

Karukala Computers and MTCSM are not two separate organizations with a shared branding strategy. They are two expressions of the same educational commitment โ€” built over the same 25 years, rooted in the same community, guided by the same values.

Karukala Computers has been the foundation โ€” delivering computer education, certification and practical skills since 1999. MTCSM grew from the recognition that students needed more: direction, confidence, communication and life readiness alongside technical skills.

Together, they form an ecosystem where a student can begin with basic computer literacy and grow into a career-ready, confident, articulate young person โ€” without ever needing to leave the community they belong to.

What both institutions share:
โœ“ ISO 9001:2015 certified quality standards
โœ“ Student-centered, not profit-centered philosophy
โœ“ Long-term relationships with families
โœ“ Practical, grounded, honest educational approach
โœ“ Deep roots in the South 24 Parganas community

Our People

Teachers Who Are Also Mentors

There is a difference between someone who teaches a subject and someone who genuinely cares about the student sitting in front of them. Our team has always tried to be the second kind.

Over the years, our trainers and counsellors have built long-term relationships with students and families. Many students who once sat in our classrooms now refer their own children here. That kind of trust is not built by marketing โ€” it is built by people who consistently show up with patience, skill and genuine care.

Career Counselling โ€” 12+ Years

Listens more than talks. Has helped hundreds of students find direction โ€” not by telling them what to do, but by helping them understand what they actually want and what they are genuinely good at.

"We tell our trainers: know the name of every student, know what they are struggling with, and remember that behind every student there is a parent who is trusting us. That responsibility keeps us honest."

Community Trust

A Trust Built Quietly, Over Decades

Trust is not something you announce. It is something that accumulates โ€” through consistent behaviour, through small moments of integrity, and through people who keep coming back and sending others.

๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘ง
Families

Many families have sent two or even three children to us over the years. That continuity is the most meaningful vote of confidence we receive.

Schools

Local schools have collaborated with us for career guidance workshops, skill sessions and parent awareness programs โ€” trusting us with their students.

๐Ÿ“–
Coaching Centres

Coaching centres in the area refer students to us for computer skills and communication development โ€” areas that complement academic coaching.

๐ŸŒณ
Local Community

In Bakhrahat and surrounding areas, MTCSM is a familiar name โ€” not because of advertising, but because of 25 years of people telling people.

๐Ÿ›๏ธ
Government Recognition

MSME registration, NSDC partnership and ISO certification reflect the institutional credibility built over years of consistent, quality educational delivery.

๐Ÿค
Educational Organizations

We work alongside educational bodies and skill development organizations who share our commitment to making quality learning accessible in semi-urban areas.

๐Ÿ‘ฅ
Word of Mouth

The majority of our students have come through referrals โ€” a parent recommending to a neighbour, a student telling a friend. That is the only marketing that truly counts.

๐Ÿ“…
Long-Term Relationships

We have families who have been associated with us for over 15 years. The relationship does not end at certification โ€” it continues as their lives evolve.

School Partnerships

Working With Schools & Institutions

Over the years, MTCSM has developed a respectful, collaborative relationship with several schools in South 24 Parganas. We do not approach schools as vendors approaching clients. We approach them as fellow educators who share the same goal โ€” the genuine development of their students.

These collaborations are flexible โ€” from a single career guidance session to ongoing program partnerships. We adapt to the school's schedule, student profile and priorities.

Partnership Philosophy

Quality Matters More Than Quantity

We have been asked about franchising and expansion many times. Our answer has always been the same โ€” and it reflects who we are as an institution.

Our Honest Position on Growth

MTCSM is not interested in opening centres everywhere. We do not measure success by the number of locations we operate or the number of franchise fees we collect. We measure it by what actually happens to students in the centres that carry our name.

Every centre that represents MTCSM must be able to deliver the same quality of care, attention and learning that our students in Bakhrahat have received for 25 years. If a centre cannot do that, it should not carry our name โ€” regardless of the opportunity it represents.

โœ… What We Look For in a Partner

A genuine belief in education โ€” not just a business opportunity
Proper infrastructure โ€” classrooms, computers, learning space
A long-term commitment to the community they serve
Willingness to maintain quality and standards
Alignment with MTCSM's student-centered values
Experienced or willing-to-train educational staff

โœ— What We Will Not Compromise On

Student experience โ€” we protect this above everything
Quality of teaching โ€” shortcuts do not build trust
Brand integrity โ€” our name represents 25 years of accountability
Values alignment โ€” profit-first thinking does not fit our culture
Infrastructure standards โ€” students deserve proper learning spaces
Long-term commitment โ€” we are not interested in short-term operators
"We would rather have five centres that genuinely develop students than fifty centres that carry our name but compromise on what students actually receive. Our reputation was not built overnight โ€” and we will not let it be diluted by rapid expansion."
โ€” MTCSM Leadership

If you genuinely share these values and are interested in a serious, long-term educational partnership โ€” we are open to a conversation.

Our Philosophy

What Success Truly Means to Us

In 25 years of educational work, we have come to believe something deeply โ€” and we want to say it clearly, without any marketing language.

Success is not only a job. Success is not only marks. Success is not only a certificate that gets framed and forgotten on a wall.

๐ŸŒฑ

Success is Confidence

When a student who once sat at the back of every room, afraid to raise their hand, finally walks into an interview and speaks clearly and calmly โ€” that is success. The certificate is just paper. The confidence is real.

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ

Success is Communication

When a young person from a small town can communicate their ideas clearly โ€” in Bengali, in English, on paper, in person โ€” the world opens up for them. Communication is freedom. We take it very seriously.

๐Ÿงญ

Success is Direction

Many students arrive without any sense of where they are going. When they leave knowing what they want and having a realistic path to get there โ€” that clarity itself is a form of success most people underestimate deeply.

๐Ÿ“–

Success is the Love of Learning

When a student stops fearing education and starts being curious about it โ€” when they begin reading, exploring and asking questions on their own โ€” we consider that one of our greatest achievements.

๐Ÿ™‹

Success is Becoming a Better Human Being

A skilled person who is also kind, patient, honest and community-minded โ€” that is the kind of success we are ultimately working toward. Skills fade. Character does not. If our work contributes to better human beings, we consider ourselves successful.

"We started this work 25 years ago because we believed education could change lives in South 24 Parganas. We still believe that. We still show up every day for the same reason."
