It Started With
One Classroom.
In 1999, Karukala Computers began teaching computer skills in Bakhrahat. That was where the journey started — not with a business plan, but with a small classroom and a handful of students learning to use a computer for the first time.
Over the years of teaching, something became clear: computer skills alone were not enough. Students who understood software still froze during interviews. Students who could type quickly still struggled to explain their own ideas in English. Children who could recite multiplication tables still felt anxious the moment a real calculation was asked of them under pressure.
So the teaching gradually expanded — communication, mathematics, confidence and career direction became part of the same conversation as computer skills. Working with different learners, year after year, shaped an educational philosophy that was less about covering a syllabus and more about understanding the student in front of us.
MTCSM grew out of that experience — a broader skill-development mission carrying the same teaching philosophy into new communities.
Mrs. Sumana Mandal
A Mother. A Teacher. A Learner.
Sumana's journey has never been limited to one subject. Her M.A. in English shaped how she thinks about communication. Her Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications gave her a practical, hands-on understanding of technology. Abacus, Vedic Mathematics and Mental Math training gave her a deep appreciation for structured thinking and steady practice.
Her training in Special Education added something that shaped everything else: a clear understanding that students do not all learn the same way, at the same pace, or through the same method.
Years of working directly with students taught her something even more important — sometimes a child who looks distracted, slow or uninterested is not lacking ability at all. Sometimes the explanation was wrong for that particular learner. Sometimes the pace was too fast. Sometimes what looked like disinterest was really a quiet loss of confidence.
That belief — that the method should adapt to the student, not the other way round — is part of the foundation MTCSM is built on.

Why "Mother" in MTCSM?
The word "Mother" reflects a simple philosophy: patient, caring and individual-centred learning. A mother does not expect every child to develop at exactly the same speed — and MTCSM believes students sometimes need more explanation, more practice, more encouragement, a different approach, or simply a little more time.
